Kachchh
is fascinating land and no visit to Gujarat is complete without
a sojourn to this peninsular district. Its remoteness has
kept it a place apart from centuries. The people are very
sturdy business minded and sea-faring. The second largest
district in India and sparsely populated, Kachchh is a dry
belt with Great Rann to the north and Little Rann to the east.
The great and Little Rann of Kachchh are also the breeding
ground of Flamingo, Pelican & Avocet and the home of the rare
Indian wild Ass which is now a protected species. Kachchh
produces exquisite handicrafts like embroidery, tie 'n' die
fabrics, enamelled silverware and other handicrafts.
Anjal-Wild Ass Sanctuary
Kachchh is well known for its Wild Ass sanctuary. This Wild Ass
is known as Khar Gaddha. It is a sturdy creature, which can gallop

Bhadreshwar
It is a famous Jain pilgrimage centre. The architecture of the ancient
Shiva temple is such that the presiding deity is visible from the
ground floor as well as the first floor, with some beautiful sculpture
chiselled on the outer walls. The tour will also cover stepwell,
Sol Thambhi Mosque, Jagdu Shah Palace, Lal Shabhar Mosque, Chokunda
Mahadev Temple - a visit that will expose you to many religious
traditions of India, congregated in one region.
Kera
Kera finds a place on the tourist map mainly due to the 10th century
Shiv temple. The town was destroyed in the earthquake of 1819. At
the Muslim shrine of Gulam Ali Shah, Urs is held every year attracting
devotees from all faiths. Ascetics walk on fire during this Urs,
displaying their extraordinary powers.
Purneshwar
It is about 35 Kms from Bhuj. It is a 9th/10th century A.D. temple
raised on a high plinth and has some fine sculpture on display.
